Woking Environment Action (WEAct) is delighted to announce that their first Woking Repair Café event will take place on Saturday 10 June from 10am to 1pm at Andy’s Café at St Andrew’s Church in Goldsworth Park (GU21 3LG).

A great team of volunteers has come forward to offer free repairs for electrical and mechanical items, furniture, toys, clothing and textiles. 

Please only bring items that can be carried by one person. Unfortunately petrol-driven items should not be brought for safety reasons. If possible, please send WEAct an email to let them know what you are planning to bring at wokingrepaircafe@gmail.com. The aim of the repair café is to help reduce the number of items going to landfill that often have not reached the end of their useful life. The group will also try to help people learn how to repair household items themselves.

WEAct plans to run the Repair Café on the second Saturday of every month, with other venues to be confirmed soon.
