A great way of improving staff wellbeing and encouraging team building is to host a company Volunteering Day. Combine this with a spot of conservation and your company could give the local environment a helping hand too.
Volunteer Woking connected local firm Menzies Accountancy with two Woking schools and a community group for their Make A Difference Week.

The Barnsbury School in Mayford needed help to clear their overgrown woodland for their Forest School; The Oaktree Infant School in St Johns needed help to clear their wildflower garden; and Sheerwater Together needed help tidying their community gardens.
Nicky Purnell, Marketing Director at Menzies Woking said: “I think more and more businesses are seeing the benefit of giving a volunteer day to their staff, it’s good for team building but most importantly it’s good for the soul to know you are doing your bit, no matter how small, for your local community.”
