Planet Woking has created a guide to help you care for your garden in an eco-friendly way that also supports wildlife.
Inspired by a Planet Woking presentation given by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) entitled ‘Invisible gardens; wildlife havens’, a resident got in touch requesting guidance as to how they and others could green their own gardening practices.
The Planet Woking Wildlife Gardening Guide looks primarily at how to turn your garden into the best habitat for local wildlife, including which plants and other features to use to support and encourage biodiversity. The Guide also covers eco-friendly and low carbon gardening practices.
Following consultation earlier this summer, feedback received has been built into the guide – thanks to everyone who got in touch. Thanks also to the Royal Horticultural Society, Surrey Wildlife Trust and Woking Environment Action for their valuable input and assistance.
