Heath Week starts today (24 July), and the Thames Basin Heaths Partnership is inviting families to take part in a fun-packed week of free activities to promote public awareness and enjoyment of our fabulous heathland landscapes, their rare wildlife and their cultural history.
 
Highlights include a Wildfire Roadshow from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, with a chance to meet the local crews and clamber into the cab of one of their fire engines, and opportunities to get hands on with the reptiles – snakes, lizards and slow worms – that call our heathlands home.

The Thames Basin Heaths Partnership will be showcasing nature with Nightjar walks, scavenger hunts, nature-themed crafts and more.
