Surrey’s only green business awards are back!

One month from today, nominations will open for the CREST 2023 Business Awards, recognising and celebrating success in sustainability for the third year running.

The CREST (Corporate Responsibility for the Environment and a Sustainable Tomorrow) awards were set up in 2021 by the Woking News and Mail in association with the University of Surrey’s Centre for the Environment and Sustainability and aim to inspire and motivate innovation to protect the environment and promote more sustainable working and lifestyle habits.

This year, there are eight awards up for grabs:

• Circular Efficiency Award
• Smarter Transport Award
• Sustainability Impact – Larger Businesses (t/o over £1m)
• Sustainability Impact – Smaller Businesses (t/o up to £1m)
• Transforming Food Award
• Community Impact
• Restoring Nature
• Sustainability Hero Award – Judges’ Choice

Previous award winners include McLaren, Bare + Fair and The Lightbox.

The nomination period opens Monday 6 March, with the presentation of the awards taking place on Thursday 26 October at the WWF UK Headquarters Living Planet Centre in Woking. There are also sponsorship opportunities available for businesses.
