Talk 4: Sustainable Transport
When: Date TBC
Where: Live Video followed by Zoom questions
About the event
Transport accounts for 30% of Woking Borough’s carbon footprint (source DECC local authority carbon statistics 2018). Whether you live here, work here or are a visitor, we want getting around in Woking to be easy while also contributing to and maintaining a cleaner, greener Borough. We hope that walking, cycling and public transport will be the first choice for short trips. Not only does this benefit local air quality and carbon emissions, but there are clear health and well-being advantages of “active travel”. Join us for a talk exploring how we can make positive changes to the sustainability of the Borough by adopting greener modes of transport. Check back again soon for further information including event dates and booking details.
